Bar Convent Berlin 2025 reveals main stage programme

Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) has announced the 2025 programme for its main stage, which will bring together international industry leaders to discuss sustainability, creativity, and the future of bar culture.

The programme opens with insights into sustainable growth and the intrinsic value of the cocktail bar industry. Thought leaders such as Ezra Star will explore the delicate balance between creativity and environmentally conscious practices, demonstrating how the industry can be collectively guided toward a sustainable future. Following this, a session featuring Jared Brown will examine the significance of indigenous spirits and cultural heritage in global markets.

One of the highlights is a discussion on slow drinks. With contributions from Andrea Marseglia and Sarah Dawn Marseglia, this session explores how drinking culture and mindful enjoyment can align with modern demands. In addition, Danil Nevsky will invite participants to discover the art of cocktail menus as a medium for storytelling and creative bartender identity.

Another key focus is the importance of a targeted approach to media engagement and public relations. Gary Sharpen will share practical insights on how bartenders and event organisers can build sustainable media relationships to successfully tell their stories. The programme will also include sessions offering strategies to transform small bars into dynamic businesses, with presentations from experts such as Stelios Papadopoulos.

As BCB progresses, the Main Stage will also shine a spotlight on other dimensions of the industry. It will begin with the fusion of art and science in creating unforgettable cocktail experiences, explored by industry insiders such as Edmund Weil, and continue with workshops demonstrating how to effectively engage target audiences and tap into new markets. Among the featured thought leaders is Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan, who will highlight the role of storytelling as a crucial element in brand building.

The BCB main stage will also serve as a platform for networking. Attendees will experience firsthand how industry pioneers like Amman Alsaqqaf and Laura Louise Green are developing and implementing innovative concepts for seasonal bars and comprehensive employee care.
