Mokuti Etosha to launch open-air dining experience, SkyBoma

Launching this November, SkyBoma is a new open-air dining experience at Mokuti Etosha, located on the edge of Namibia’s Etosha National Park.

Elevated eight metres above the surrounding landscape, the venue offers a take on the traditional bush dinner combining wide-open views and a strongly Namibian menu which highlights locally sourced beef, venison and seasonal ingredients.

The design itself includes a mushroom-inspired roof which draws inspiration from the natural forms of the region, including the anthills that dot the Etosha Pan. As night falls, the space transforms into a quiet spot for stargazing and wildlife watching.

Located in one of the world’s least light-polluted regions – free from urban disturbances – and considered one world’s top destinations for astronomical observation, the experience invites guests to slow down and take in the vastness above, making the stars as much a part of the evening as the cuisine.

SkyBoma is part of a broader transformation at Mokuti, one of four properties in the O&L Leisure group, which includes ongoing upgrades to guest rooms and the introduction of new suites, set for completion by the end of 2026.
