Bar Convent Berlin 2025 reveals programme highlights

Bar Convent Berlin 2025 will return to Exhibition Centre Berlin from 6-8 October. A curated selection of programme highlights has been announced, offering an early look at the range and depth of this year’s educational content.

The Education Programme brings together international voices and future-facing topics. All sessions are curated by the multi-member BCB Education Board, led by Priyanka Blah, Director of Education, ensuring the line-up reflects both global perspectives and the key challenges shaping today’s bar world.

Among the first confirmed highlights is a session with award-winning bartender and creative entrepreneur Ryan Chetiyawardana, exploring how storytelling can unlock creativity, elevate hospitality and create lasting guest experiences. Bar founder and consultant Amman Alsaqqaf will share her insights on developing seasonal bar concepts in non-traditional markets where supply chains present unique challenges.

Jared Brown, drinks historian and author, will examine how indigenous spirits are connected to cultural identity and global relevance, and why protecting their authenticity matters. Ezra Star, bar owner and consultant, will present a session on non-alcoholic models, highlighting the creative and operational potential and sustainability benefits of low and no concepts. Danil Nevsky, digital community builder and industry thought leader, will address the growing influence of AI in the bar world, from operations and guest experience to creative innovation.

This year’s full programme spans several curated stages and includes strategic panels, interactive workshops as well as partner-led activations and brand-hosted tastings. Topics range from sustainable bar management and creative product development to workplace culture, leadership, business and innovation.

At the centre of the show is the BCB Embassy, a dedicated area that explores a different trend each day. From the rise of low and no to the revival of the classics and the outlook of the next generation, the Embassy invites visitors to learn, engage and explore.

A press conference on the opening day will offer exclusive insight from some of the most influential figures in the industry. This year’s Morning Briefing will feature Petra Lassahn, Director of BCB, Camille Vidal, mindful drinking advocate and founder of La Maison Wellness, and Maren Meyer, chairwoman of the Deutsche Barkeeper-Union e.V. (DBU). Together they will offer unique insights into evolving drinks culture – from mindful mixology and category exploration to the continued professionalisation of the global bar industry.

Attendance at the Morning Briefing is reserved for accredited media. For the full programme and speaker line-up, visit the BCB website.
