Four Seasons Seychelles at Desroches Island introduces breakfast on the runway
Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island has introduced Breakfast on the Runway, a sunrise dining experience served on the island’s private airstrip.
Created as part of the Resort’s Valentine’s programme, the pop up experience is aimed at early risers and combines the island setting with the resort’s culinary approach in an unusual location. At dawn, the runway, typically used for arrivals and departures, is repurposed as an open air dining space.
Guests are welcomed with turmeric energy balls, coconut rolls and chia health bites, followed by a breakfast pastry selection including pain au chocolat, pain Suisse, croissants, cinnamon rolls and fruit Danishes.
An exotic fruit platter features pineapple, papaya, honeydew, passion fruit and guava, accompanied by an artisan cheese selection of brie, Comté, Manchego and goat’s cheese. Healthy jar options include blueberry, quinoa, yogurt, nuts and seeds or buckwheat with lemon yogurt, avocado and honey.

Hot dishes include red velvet pancakes with vanilla cream and berry compote and poached organic island eggs served with a fricassée of local garden vegetables. Beverages available are premium teas, freshly brewed coffee, freshly pressed juices and a Mimosa.
“Breakfast on the Runway is one of those experiences that instantly makes you smile,” says says General Manager, Budi Widodo. “It’s playful, unexpected and a fresh new way for our guests to start their morning with a sense of adventure. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot one of our friendly giant Aldabra tortoises wandering by to say good morning.”
“Desroches Island never stops surprising our guests,” Widodo continues. “Breakfast on the Runway captures everything that makes this island special, its freedom, its creativity, and its spectacular natural beauty. There is simply nothing else like it.”
