Iniala Valletta in Malta adds restaurants by Ian Kittichai and Simon Rogan

Iniala Valletta in Malta will open the doors to a rooftop Thai restaurant by Ian Kittichai and an eatery by Simon Rogan.

The venues are part of a wider expansion which brings together a creative collective of internationally renowned designers, including Sebastian Brajkovic, Verter Turroni (Imperfetto Lab), Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares (A-cero), and Greta Design, who have integrated contemporary design into Valletta’s historic stone architecture.

Perched atop Iniala Solis, Anaalā by Ian Kittichai marks the chef’s debut in Valletta, bringing his signature Thai cuisine to the city’s rooftops. Overlooking the harbour, the restaurant is positioned as a sensory dining destination that blends aromatic Thai flavours with Malta’s coastal setting.

SiR by Simon Rogan will form the centrepiece of the Magistero building and a new social hub for Valletta. Designed by Imperfetto Lab, the space focuses on texture, light and unexpected materials, creating an environment intended to be part of the dining experience itself. The concept encourages sharing, grazing and lingering, combining design, food and conversation.

“SiR draws on many influences but remains rooted in its surroundings, celebrating Malta’s heritage and exceptional produce,” says Rogan. “The concept is built around sharing plates, innovative food and great service in beautiful surroundings where people can come together and enjoy themselves.”

“After the success of Anaalā at Iniala Beach House in Thailand, I am excited to bring those same fire-driven flavours from the sands of Natai Beach to the historic heart of Malta,” comments Kittichai. “My mission has always been to push the limits of how people perceive Thai food, and at Iniala Solis we are marrying that heritage with modern techniques to create a global gastronomic experience.”
