Onóra, a new all-day neighbourhood restaurant from The July and Dublin hospitality group Bereen Brothers, will open in October. The group’s portfolio includes Coppinger, Orwell Road, Row Wines and Charlotte Quay.
Working closely with The July’s hotel team, Bereen Brothers is shaping Onóra’s food and drink direction, service style and approach to Irish hospitality, with the restaurant intended to reflect its Dublin setting.
Northern Ireland-born Head Chef Lauren Shimmin will lead the kitchen, with lunch and dinner menus centred on Irish produce through a European lens. Dishes will range from salt cod croquettes and mussels with fries to roast porchetta with salsa verde, while the evening menu will include Carlingford oysters with shallot vinaigrette, tagliolini with sweet crab, chilli and lemon and whole grilled brill with capers and brown butter.
Classic and signature cocktails will sit alongside a wine list sourced from small local distributors, while Whiplash Brewery will pour on tap.
The design of Onóra and The July Dublin is a collaboration between The July’s in-house team, led by Dublin native and Head of Design Caitriona McGachy, and interior studio Fettle. References to Irish designer Eileen Gray and a collection of local artwork further connect the project to Dublin’s creative community.
