Rosewood Hong Kong has joined forces with Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah of Bar Leone to open Bar Camillo, a new hotel bar inspired by the informality of a traditional Italian living room.

Drawing on the concept of the salotto, a space for socialising and entertaining at home, Bar Camillo aims to bring the atmosphere of a lively house party to the hotel. The project brings together Antinori and Shun Wah with Rosewood Hong Kong’s hospitality team, including Director of Culinary Operations Fabian Altabert, Hotel Manager Juan Serrano and Director of F&B Sandro Brusco.

Mid-century interiors combine glossy wood veneers, polished metal and mirrored walls with a palette of gold, alpine green and cream. A long banquette encourages guests to gather along the bar, while lower seating and enclosed corners offer space for more intimate conversations. A terrace extends the setting outdoors.

The drinks menu is organised around three categories: Aperitivi di Benvenuto, featuring dry, refreshing serves; Cocktail della Casa, comprising seasonal interpretations of classic cocktails; and Playful Party Touches, which introduce a more light-hearted element. Rooted in classic mixology, the cocktails incorporate pop-cultural references, with the menu changing quarterly to reflect a particular season and year. Italian pop music and rotating wall art further connect each edition to its cultural context.

A bespoke Negroni Trolley adds a tableside element to the experience. Guests can customise their Negroni by selecting a base spirit, garnish and flavour profile, choosing between floral, savoury and rich, before the drink is assembled and stirred to order.

At the heart of the concept is Camillo, a playful, somewhat clumsy bartender mascot who embodies the Italian idea of padroni di casa, or hosts who make guests feel at home.

Hugo Montanari, Managing Director, Rosewood Hong Kong & K11 Artus comments: ‘Joining forces with Lorenzo to bring Bar Camillo to Rosewood Hong Kong is a celebration of shared vision and the incredible collective effort of our entire team.”

Antinori concludes: “Bar Camillo is bringing the energy and vibes of a standalone bar into The World’s Best Hotel. Here, everything is deliberately relaxed yet celebratory while capturing the quality reminiscent of hanging out at the home of a close friend -  just with the absolute best of service. The space itself is built to feel like a ‘cool house party’: eclectic and, most importantly, fun.”
