Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam is hosting a culinary event to mark the decade-long legacy of the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant of the same name. Entitled 10 Years – The White Room Festival, it is bringing together 16 Michelin-starred local and international chefs in a celebration of refined gastronomy and culinary innovation on Monday 26 May.
Taking place within the hotel’s Wintergarden and Grand Ballroom, each chef has been invited to present their signature dish at a respective market-style stall. Confirmed attendees include culinary advisor of The White Room Jacob Jan Boerma (Chef at Restaurant Fine Fleur) and Chef de Cuisine Tristan de Boer of The White Room; Stefan Heilemann of Restaurant Widder; Benoit Carcenat of Restaurant La Table de Valrose, and Thomas Buehner, Restaurant La Vie. Heinz Beck of Restaurant La Pergola and Tanja Grandits of Restaurant Stucki will also be in attendance.
The setting is a 19th-century indoor garden and ballroom with impressive architecture and wrought-iron detailing, providing an enchanting backdrop for the evening of culinary sophistication, with food stations offering an informal, festival-like atmosphere. The gastronomic delights will be cooked à la minute in small batches for guests by participating celebrity chefs and served with matching wines selected by renowned sommeliers.
