Portuguese manufacturer Mesa Ceramics unveils Soft, the latest addition to its Único collection.

Crafted from a revolutionary ID7 vitreous body, this line showcases a textured rim and refined geometric shapes.

After two years of dedicated research and collaboration, Mesa has developed ID7 – a groundbreaking vitreous stoneware body designed for isostatic pressing. This material combines the strength and translucency of fine porcelain with eco-friendly production methods, using a single-firing process and advanced digital printing techniques. The result is a highly durable yet lightweight ceramic.

Sustainability remains at the heart of the Soft collection. The production process generates no waste, avoids toxic materials and significantly reduces gas consumption and CO₂ emissions. This eco-conscious approach ensures each piece not only performs well but also meets the growing demand for environmentally responsible dinnerware.

The Único shape earns the 2024 German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design – Tabletop category and is designed for maximum resistance to damage and chipping. Each piece proves ideal for a variety of settings, from haute cuisine restaurants to large hotel chains.

Mesa presents the Soft collection, along with a new Hospitality Mesa Ceramics line, at the Global Tableware Collective booth (7639) during the upcoming NRA Show in Chicago.
