Coffee took centre stage at a special dinner hosted by Vienna-based roaster Julius Meinl, in collaboration with Imperial Riding School, the first Austrian property in the Autograph Collection Hotels portfolio.
Set in Vienna’s artistic quarter, the recently reopened hotel blends historic charm with contemporary design, a concept echoed throughout the evening under the theme “craftsmanship meets creativity.”
Guests were treated to a coffee-inspired menu curated by the culinary team at the hotel’s Elstar restaurant, with each course featuring a creative twist using Julius Meinl’s double-certified The Originals Bio Fairtrade coffee.
The menu was designed to demonstrate that flavour and sustainability can go hand in hand. It opened with beetroot tartare on coffee soil, followed by flank steak seasoned with an Arabica rub, served alongside vanilla-whiskey carrots and a rich coffee jus. Dessert featured espresso paired with a brownie, inspired by the flavour notes of the Gloriette Gold blend: cacao, nuts and sugar glaze.
Julius Meinl’s Bio Fairtrade coffee is available year-round at Imperial Riding School, offering guests an authentic taste of Vienna’s coffeehouse culture. The collaboration reflects the shared values of both brands: heritage, innovation and the art of creating meaningful moments.
As the food and beverage industry continues to evolve, it is creative pioneers delivering premium, sustainable experiences who are setting the pace. Inspired by Vienna’s iconic locations, where nature and culture meet, The Originals Bio Fairtrade coffee is organically grown, ethically sourced and roasted with more than 160 years of expertise.
Founded in 1862, Julius Meinl is one of the world’s oldest coffee roasters. Family-owned for five generations, the brand is committed to quality and craftsmanship.
