A new menu inspired by quintessentially British flavours is set to launch in the heart of London’s Mayfair district later this year. Great British Restaurant (GBR) at Dukes London has been working on a selection of dishes including a number of English classics, most notably the much-loved pie.

Spearheaded by GBR’s Executive Head Chef Nigel Mendham, the menu will celebrate the fundamental pillars of English culinary national identity, whilst also offering diners a contemporary twist on the very best of British cuisine.

Featuring some of the nation’s favourite food staples, the menu is likely to include a number of classic pies as well as pastry with various fillings and some sweet treats. The chef also plans to expand the menu by adding a dedicated steak section and an à la carte offering with 100% British dishes.

Looking ahead, GBR will also host ‘Summer’s Bounty’ – an evening with its head chef Nigel Mendham and chef Simon Hulstone of The Elephant in Torquay. The collaborative event will see the chefs showcase their combined passion for the produce of British kitchen gardens and farms at the height of summertime, highlighting the flavours of local and seasonal ingredients.
