Louis Alberts named F&B Director at Scotland’s Turnberry Golf Resort
Turnberry Golf Resort in Scotland has named Louis Alberts as its new Director of Food and Beverage.
The South African native will oversee the 115-year-old heritage resort’s culinary offering, which includes the signature restaurant ‘1906’, the ‘Duel in the Sun’ eatery and the ‘Grand Tea Lounge and Bar’. The hotel also offers guests a luxurious ‘Chef’s Table’ dining experience.
“I am thrilled to be working with the team at Turnberry,” said Alberts. “I have such a passion for the hospitality industry and luxury service, and I understand the importance of teamwork. I pride myself on my teambuilding and development, and my ability to provide the highest possible standards for our guests. I look forward to relishing this new responsibility.”
Alberts joins Turnberry from the six-star Saga Ocean Cruises, and his career has taken him everywhere from the UAE to London. His new role on the Ayrshire coast sees him join Trump Hotels, the luxury hotel and resort group with a global portfolio.
Located approximately an hour from Glasgow and two hours from Edinburgh, Trump Turnberry is known for its three world-class golf courses, as well as for its extensive hospitality offering. The site is also home to a 500-seat ballroom, a luxury spa and an onsite activity centre, Turnberry Adventures.
