Conrad Dubai introduces afternoon tea with Julius Meinl and Antonio Bachour

Conrad Dubai has introduced a new afternoon tea created in partnership with Julius Meinl coffee and pastry chef Antonio Bachour.

Bachour, a three time recipient of the World’s Best Pastry Chef award and a Julius Meinl Brand Ambassador, joins forces with Conrad Executive Pastry Chef Praveen Kumar to develop a menu of petit gâteaux, freshly baked viennoiseries and savoury bites.

This limited-time menu highlights detailed pastry work and a focus on quality coffee in a relaxed setting within Dubai’s business district. Bachour’s style is evident in the petit gâteaux, which combine precise presentation with bright flavours. The viennoiseries and savoury dishes are designed to offer a balanced mix of textures and taste, with each item reflecting the chef’s approach to craft and technique.

The menu is served with a selection of Julius Meinl coffees. Guests can choose from options such as the 1862 Vienna 100% arabica blend, cold infusions or hand brewed V60 pours. Each coffee is intended to complement the sweet and savoury elements of the afternoon tea through its aroma and flavour profile.

Founded in 1862, Julius Meinl is one of the oldest coffee roasters in the world and a renowned Vienna coffee house. Dedication to quality has been its family trademark for five generations.

With more than 160 years of experience in sourcing, blending and roasting, Julius Meinl coffees and teas are sold in over 50,000 hotels, coffee houses and restaurants in 70 countries, as well as a growing number of retail outlets.
