Spotlight: Lauren & Hardy Podcast by Hardy Cognac

The 160-year-old Hardy Cognac house has launched Lauren & Hardy, an original podcast that celebrates the history and nonconformist spirit of cognac through a historical and resolutely uninhibited fiction.

The narrative follows an unlikely duo: Lauren Duplessis, a young New York podcast producer in search of meaning, and Anthony Hardy, the 17th-century founder of Maison Hardy, who returns from the past to tell his story two centuries later.

Blending expert anecdotes, British humour and absurdist dialogues, the podcast breathes new life into the legacy French spirit. Across eight episodes, each lasting seven to eight minutes, listeners embark on a journey that combines historical facts, artisanal expertise and a contemporary take on the world of spirits.

With incisive dialogue, careful staging, hilarious skits and fake commercials, Lauren & Hardy – written by Josselin Bordat, directed by Arnaud Forest and produced by Radio K7 Creative – breaks the mould of traditional communication in the drinks industry. Listen here now.
