Spotlight: Myò by Zorzettig
Founded in 1874 in the eastern hills of Italy’s Colli Orientali del Friuli region, Zorzettig is a historic family winery deeply connected to its landscape.
For more than five generations, the Zorzettig family has cultivated vineyards in this borderland between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, where different cultures, climates and traditions converge and shape the character of the territory.
Today the estate is led by Annalisa Zorzettig, who carries forward this legacy with a thoughtful and contemporary vision. Her approach combines respect for tradition with a strong focus on environmental responsibility, biodiversity and a deeper understanding of the vineyard ecosystem. Rather than pursuing technical perfection, the winery’s philosophy is to seek authenticity, allowing each vineyard, vintage and grape variety to express its own voice.

The vineyard extends across hillside sites around Spessa di Cividale and nearby areas, where altitude, exposure and the meeting of Alpine breezes with Adriatic influences creates ideal conditions for elegant, aromatic and mineral-driven wines. These landscapes, shaped by centuries of agriculture and cultural exchange, provide the natural stage on which Zorzettig’s wines take form.
The Myò collection represents the most personal and expressive chapter of this story. The name comes from Friulian and means “mine”, a word that conveys belonging, affection and a deep connection with the land. It also appears in one of the earliest recorded Friulian poems dating back to 1380, celebrating the harvest and the joy that springs from the generosity of nature.
The wines in the collection originate from some of the estate’s oldest and most characterful vineyards, cultivated with particular attention to biodiversity and ecological balance. These sites rest on ponca soils, a distinctive formation of marl and sandstone typical of Colli Orientali del Friuli, which play a key role in shaping the wines’ signature tension, minerality and aromatic precision. Each label in the collection is also linked to a natural symbol inspired by the biodiversity of the Friulian landscape.

The recent reshaping of the Myò line marks an important step in the evolution of the brand. With a renewed graphic identity and a clearer positioning, the collection communicates the values at the heart of Zorzettig more distinctly: strong roots, expressive authenticity and a contemporary vision of Friulian winemaking.
