Reuben Brothers and Auberge Collection have partnered with Major Food Group (MFG) for the signature restaurant at Cambridge House, set to open in early 2027.

The culinary centrepiece will be Major’s, a new restaurant concept from MFG, the hospitality business behind Carbone, Torrisi and ZZ’s Club. Set within the majesty of Cambridge House’s restored Georgian ballroom and jasmine-fringed courtyard, the restaurant will bring the American chophouse into conversation with the traditions of the London grill.

The menu celebrates exceptional British ingredients and the farmers, fishermen, foragers and hunters behind them. Expect abundant seafood towers, formal caviar service and a signature offering of fine meat, fish and game. At the bar, an extensive drinks list will feature no fewer than ten takes on the martini, complemented by a wine programme drawing on one of London’s most formidable cellars.

British makers have been enlisted to create bespoke elements throughout the space — from an array of china to trolleys designed for carving spit-roasted prime rib and other tableside gestures.

Classically English yet drawing on the eclectic influences that define Great Britain today, the interiors across the 102-room hotel and residences have been designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, who is overseeing the transformation of the hotel and its guest spaces, and Laura Gonzalez, who is designing the signature bar, wellbeing facilities and members’ club, due to open later in 2027.

The hotel is the result of Reuben Brothers’ £1 billion regeneration of 1.3 acres of the Piccadilly Estate, which has been meticulously restored and reinvented, reflecting the real estate investment group’s commitment to preserving its character and heritage.
