New menu launches at The Roof Barcelona

Barcelona Edition launches new season menus

The Barcelona Edition has revealed new culinary and cocktail experiences for spring.

At The Roof, the hotel’s venue with panoramic city views, an all-day menu has been designed to be enjoyed poolside while overlooking Barcelona’s El Born neighbourhood. Celebrating the freshness and vibrancy of Mediterranean cuisine through a health-conscious and modern lens, the menu is crafted for sharing and highlights local ingredients with bold, sun-soaked flavours. Think Iberian ham croquettes with tuna belly; smooth chickpea hummus with fresh crudités; crispy vegan eggplant Milanese with citrus emulsion and pistachio dukkah; marinated sardines in carrot and orange escabeche; and octopus with paprika aioli and potatoes.

The drinks offering has also been updated, with each cocktail crafted as a liquid story where unexpected ingredients meet premium spirits and Mediterranean inspiration. Highlights include the Tropical Mediterráneo, combining rum, mandarin syrup and co-conut milk, and signature spritzes such as the refreshing Costa Brava or the vibrant Rayo de Sol. Sustainability also plays a key role in the drinks programme, with inventive low waste cocktails like the Dangerous Flamenco, featuring whisky, strawberry-beet shrub, and aquafaba. Alcohol-free options like Zest of the Sun or Spearmint Time showcase the same attention to craft, blending fresh fruits, herbs and botanical teas. Weekly rituals are an additional pillar to the culinary offering, with Aperitivo Tuesdays pairing Mediterranean bites with signature spritzes, and Saturday brunch, which includes three dishes of choice accompanied by a signature cocktail, a spritz or a glass of cava.

The seasonal switch up continues at Punch Room Barcelona with the introduction of its new Compass menu, a contemporary reinterpretation of punch that pays tribute to the journey that’s shaped the drink from the 17th century to today. With origins on merchant ships sailing across the oceans and in the exotic markets that supplied them, punch was the first truly global drink. Five essential ingredients – spirits, citrus, sugar, spices and water – came together in its creation, a concept that the Com-pass menu invites guests to explore this history through the five fundamental flavours: sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and umami. Highlights include the Pacific Odyssey Punch, a tropical journey featuring Venezuelan rum, Iberian port wine, Mexican cacao, and South African rooibos, and the Midnight Punch, a bold and sustainable creation crafted with sesame-infused vodka, cold brew coffee, agave, and repurposed coffee grounds.
