Bvlgari Hotel Milano unveils Da Niko by Niko Romito
Bvlgari Hotel Milano has unveiled Da Niko, a culinary concept created by chef Niko Romito.
The restaurant’s name evokes the feeling of going ‘to someone’s home’, reflecting an approach to hospitality that is genuine, informal and convivial. The concept embraces a more spontaneous style of dining and an accessible approach to Italian cuisine, while retaining the precision and depth of Romito’s culinary research.
The menu draws on Italy’s culinary heritage, reinterpreting familiar classics through Romito’s distinctive approach. The meal begins with a selection of crudi, including amberjack carpaccio with lemon and chilli, tuna carpaccio with basil-scented tomato, langoustine cocktail with lettuce, and herb-marinated beef with mixed greens.

Starters include vitello tonnato, veal meatballs with green sauce, and brioche with lobster, celery and marinated lettuce. Fried dishes include baby squid with tartar sauce and fried pizza with tomato, mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano.
First courses feature some of Romito’s signature dishes, from spaghetti al pomodoro and tonnarelli cacio e pepe to paccheri with langoustines, lemon and tarragon and fusilloni with lobster. The selection also includes Swiss chard, tomato and rosemary soup.
Tableside service from the trolley includes the catch of the day, Milanese veal cutlet and traditional Piedmontese fried chicken with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Other dishes include Dover sole meunière, beef fillet with green peppercorn sauce and eggplant parmigiana. Desserts include tiramisù, warm brioche with zabaione and pistachio gelato.
The interiors have been redesigned by ACPV Architects to evoke the atmosphere of an elegant Milanese home. Tables of different sizes, armchairs and banquettes are arranged to encourage conversation and sharing, while retaining the understated elegance of Bvlgari Hotel Milano. Guests enter through a large library dedicated to Milan before moving through a sequence of intimate spaces.

The cocktail bar is centred around an oval black resin counter, while six large mirrors framed in willow, created by artist Emy Petrini, adorn the walls. At the centre of the dining room is La Venatoria, a rare Richard Ginori vase from the late 1920s, produced during Gio Ponti’s artistic direction and decorated with a Triumph of the Amazons motif. Tableware has been developed in collaboration with Ginori 1735, with an exclusive variation of the Diva collection created specifically for Da Niko.
