Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts launches summer of Italian cuisine, L’Estate Italiana

Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has launched L’Estate Italiana, a new concept designed to capture the essence of an Italian summer through a series of culinary experiences.

Internationally recognised chef Pier Daniele Seu curates an exclusive Pizza Bar pop-ups across selected properties within the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts collection, where guests can enjoy a refined menu of eight signature gourmet pizzas served in vibrant outdoor settings inspired by the relaxed charm of a traditional Italian pizzeria.

Following the launch of Pizza Bar Pier Daniele Seu in Milan, the concept will travel to Paris, Rome, Beijing, Shanghai, Bali and Tokyo throughout the summer. Central to the concept is the dough itself, with around 30 hours of temperature-controlled maturation. The menu features eight pizzas, ranging from interpretations of Italian classics such as the Margherita DOP to more contemporary creations including Variazione di Zucchine, Indiavolata, Formaggi e Limone and Cocktail di Gamberi.

The Pizza Bars are partnered with Bellavista, the historic Franciacorta winery owned by the Moretti family, which accompanies the tasting experience with a selection of cuvées including Alma Assemblage Non Dosato, Alma Assemblage Rosé and Riserva Vittorio Moretti. A cocktail programme inspired by Bellavista, created by the bar directors at each hotel, completes the experience.

Complementing the initiative, Niko Romito, the three-Michelin-starred chef behind Reale and Curator Chef across Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, introduces authentic Italian gelato through bespoke carts positioned throughout the hotels.  Prepared using high-quality ingredients and focused on purity of flavour, the gelato offering celebrates Italian simplicity and craftsmanship. Building on the success of the Il Gelato kiosk at Bvlgari Resort Dubai, the carts will appear in Rome, Milan, Beijing, Shanghai and Bali, with a debut at Bvlgari Hotel Paris.

Presented in traditional carrettini, or gelato carts, Il Gelato offers an authentic taste of Italian craftsmanship. Guests can choose from a range of classic flavours served from ornate metal tubs, reflecting a ritual deeply rooted in Italian culture. Prepared using fresh milk and natural ingredients, Romito’s team has refined traditional recipes to highlight the natural flavour of each ingredient while minimising sugar and fat content and avoiding artificial flavourings entirely.

The menu features a selection of gelati, sorbetti and granite, or Italian shaved ice, including flavours such as cioccolato, pistacchio, nocciola, lampone, and limone with basilico, alongside fresh sorbets and granitas inspired by Sicilian tradition. Sicilian brioche infused with lemon and orange zest, as well as artisanal ghiaccioli, or ice pops, add a playful element to the experience.
