Domes Lake Algarve welcomes new Portuguese-inspired restaurant
A month after its debut at Doca da Marinha, Lisbon, restaurant ÀCosta has opened a second location at Domes Lake Algarve, Autograph Collection.
The restaurant is an extension of the Lisbon brand, courtesy of ‘chefpreneur’ Olivier da Costa.
At the menu’s core is produce from the ocean, with fish and seafood combined with traditional recipes inspired by Portuguese roots, and punctuated by light influences from international cuisine.
At the Domes Lake Algarve outpost, 78 seats are divided between the main dining room and a terrace overlooking the beach. Guests are invited to enjoy multi-course meals, snacks and drinks focusing on seasonality and Portuguese produce. Chef Olivier’s signature dishes include ÀCosta egg with shrimp and straw potato tartare; ÀCosta rice with saffron, chicken, squid, shrimp and monkfish; and the marie louise chocolate mousse, a tribute to the chef’s French grandmother.
The drinks menu meanwhile spans wines, champagnes and a cocktail list inspired by maritime references linked to Portugal’s history.
Styled to emulate the tones of the beach, interiors feature light woods that reflect the sand, while the terrace awning highlights the blue and green nuances of the sea.
