Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel is celebrating the Wimbledon season with a number of new food and beverage offerings.

Visitors to the hotel’s ‘Centre Court-Yard’ will have the opportunity to sample bespoke cocktails, traditional strawberries and cream, or a tennis-themed afternoon tea – all while watching sports coverage on the big screen.  

The new offering will be served up on the leafy terrace outside Ham Yard Hotel, surrounded by strawberry plants, an umpire chair, and purple and green hydrangeas.

The limited edition cocktails, made in collaboration with London Essence and Sipsmith, the official gin of Wimbledon, will include Strawberries & Cream, an indulgent hit of Sipsmith Sipping vodka, tequila, strawberry purée and mint tea, topped with a ‘cream’ foam; Sloe Motion Serve, a refreshing mojito-style cocktail with Sipsmith Sloe gin, crème de mure, plum bitters, London Essence raspberry and rose soda; and Perfect Volley Iced Tea, made with Sipsmith Zesty Orange gin, Lemon Drizzle gin, Sipsmith vodka, orange bitters, English breakfast tea, chinotto and London Essence lemonade.

A new afternoon tea offer, packed in a picnic hamper, will be served throughout the fortnight, and will include an array of finger sandwiches, mini sausage rolls and fluffy scones. Handmade pastries, inspired by the tournament, include a strawberry tart and yuzu and lemon verbena éclair, topped with chocolate tennis balls.
