Hermitage Bay, a small resort located on the western side of Antigua, will host a limited-edition culinary collaboration with La Petite Maison, the Mediterranean restaurant founded in Nice.

The two-month pop-up offers an additional dining option for both resort guests and local visitors. It follows Hermitage Bay’s multi-million-dollar refurbishment and reopening in October 2024, part of the resort’s updated operational and culinary direction under owner Daniel Shamoon of Luxury Hotels Partners.

Hermitage Bay is situated on 140 acres of tropical gardens and a protected natural bay. Recent updates to the property include renovated villa suites, new wellness programming and enhancements such as a redesigned all-day restaurant and beach club. 

The partnership brings La Petite Maison founders Nicole Rubi and Anne-Laure Rubi to Antigua for their first Caribbean residency. Established more than 30 years ago in Nice’s old town, La Petite Maison is known for its market-based Mediterranean dishes and casual style. The brand has recently expanded to Palm Beach Cannes and will open at Puente Romano Marbella in spring 2026.

At Hermitage Bay, La Petite Maison will operate in a custom-built beachfront space. The pop-up menu will include several of the restaurant’s recognisable dishes, such as escargots, truffle rigatoni and entrecôte grillée, prepared using some locally sourced Antiguan ingredients. Lunch service will feature performances from local musicians and a guest guitarist.

The project is supported by DB Group, led by David Barokas, which has developed venues such as La Guérite, Palm Beach, Medusa and Shellona.
