Home House in London opens quintessential British pub, Cedric’s

Home House, London’s private members’ club with rooms, has announced the opening of quintessential British pub, Cedric’s.

The interiors have been designed by British interior designer Russell Sage, whose distinctive approach brings together the warmth and familiarity of a traditional local pub with Home House’s playful personality and design-led approach to hospitality.

Some of the traditional dishes being served include Butchers Cumberland sausages, monkfish scampi and Cedric’s Smashed Burger. Members can finish their meal with a deliciously sweet treat, including Chelsea Bun bread and butter pudding, Guinness and chocolate cake or a Cedric’s Irish Coffee.

At the heart of its drinks offering will be Lakedown Brewing Co, which has been appointed as Home House’s exclusive beer partner until January 2028. Based on a family farm in Burwash, East Sussex, Lakedown produces a portfolio spanning lagers, pale ales, IPAs and traditional British beer styles.

“At Home House, we have always prided ourselves on being intentionally different, and the opening of Cedric’s represents an exciting next step in the evolution of the food and beverage experience at Home House,” says Andrew Richardson, CEO of Home House. “We wanted to create somewhere that captures everything people love about a brilliant British pub, a relaxed atmosphere, fantastic drinks and, above all, a place where people genuinely want to spend time together.

“Choosing the right beer partner was an important part of bringing that vision to life. Lakedown has an independent spirit, a strong sense of provenance and a genuine passion for its product that really resonates with Home House. We’re delighted to welcome them to Portman Square and to be the first private members’ club they have partnered with.”

Jamie Daltrey, co-founder of Lakedown Brewing Co comments: “Home House felt like a natural partner for Lakedown. We share a belief that great hospitality is ultimately about bringing people together, and Cedric’s captures that perfectly. Entering the private members’ club sector for the first time is an exciting milestone for us, and we couldn’t think of a better place to do it. We’re looking forward to bringing a taste of Lakedown and the East Sussex countryside to Home House and its members.”
