Hotel Sanders in Copenhagen launches cocktail menu inspired by performance art

Tata, the signature cocktail bar at the heart of Hotel Sanders in Copenhagen, has launched a new menu inspired by classical performance art.

Located directly behind the Royal Danish Theatre, the locale has been popular for many years as an after-theatre spot for the actors, and the tradition continues at Hotel Sanders.

Inspired by Alexander Kølpin, founder and Creative Director of Kolpin Hotels, and his lifelong passion for the arts, Tata blends classical storytelling with inventive cocktails. The latest menu, entitled Pirouette, takes influence from ballets, operas and plays from around the world, translating their narratives into flavour.

Menu Highlights:

Ballet-inspired cocktails

  • Midsummer Night’s Dream – Ketel One Vodka, cucumber soda, lemon foam

  • Nutcracker – Veuve Clicquot, Jean Luc Pasquet, hazelnut, Palo Santo

  • Don Quixote – Copenhagen Distillery Gin, wild berries, olive, citrus

Opera-inspired cocktails

  • Love for Love – Siete Misterios Doba-Yej, Calle 23 Reposado, sherry, banana

  • Life is a Dream – Blended Scotch, honey, black tea, tonka, cream

  • Dinner at Eight – Jes Kølpin Akvavit, Cordusio, cranberry, lime leaf

Kolpin Hotels was created with a passion for arts, architecture, design and the delivery of exceptional service – all aimed at creating a strong lifestyle brand. The intention is to offer quiet luxury in destinations with a strong sense of history and local character. This same sensibility is applied to Hotel Sanders, one of the first luxury boutique hotels in Copenhagen.
