Chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton has announced the opening of his latest culinary concept in Dubai, located within Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel.

The three-venue dining and drinking concept, which spans the top three levels of Tower 2 in Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is set to reposition Dubai Marina’s dining and nightlife scene.

City Social offers modern-European cuisine alongside panoramic views of Dubai’s ever-changing skyline. In keeping with the dining style of City Social’s sister property in London, City Social Dubai has been created to offer guests uncomplicated luxury – providing a venue and a menu to be enjoyed any way guests wish.

Jason and his expert team have created a menu that lets the ingredients do the talking. Highlights include Ravioli of Shellfish with Seaweed, Mushroom Jam and Sweetcorn Veloute. Firm favourites include Roasted Sea Bass with Shellfish Ragout and Seaweed Butter and Pistachio Soufflé with Dark Chocolate Ice Cream.

City Social is built around the vibrance of its iconic cocktail bar, set against an impressive floor-to-ceiling wine cellar. The seven-metre marble bar takes centre stage, whilst City Social’s DJs add to the atmosphere. The bar area also features its own terrace with 360-degree vistas of DubaI Marina, Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and beyond.

A sweeping staircase takes guests to the second new venue, 7 Tales Dubai. Transporting guests to the 1960s Golden Age in Japan, the Izakaya-styled speakeasy bar is the latest space to hit Dubai’s nightlife scene, boasting spectacular views of Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour and beyond. 7 Tales combines the hustle and bustle of Tokyo with the funky vibrations of Japanese hip-hop tunes played by 7 Tales’ resident DJs. The stylish cocktail bar offers an array of Japanese gin, whisky, sake, and cocktails handcrafted by the talented bar team, complemented by Asian-inspired bar bites from the kitchen.

Funky design elements include a bespoke, effervescent graffiti wall and ceiling by the talented graffiti artist, Gary Yong. The lofty speakeasy bar also boasts a special negroni table with a hip game element allowing you to lose yourself in the soul of Tokyo in Dubai.

The final F&B concept will be revealed in the coming months, completing the Atherton’s trio.
