Jean-Georges Vongerichten makes Irish debut at The Leinster

Following in the footsteps of his restaurants in London, New York, Paris and Kyoto, Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has made his first foray into Ireland with an eponymous rooftop restaurant at Dublin’s newly opened The Leinster.

Vongerichten has been heavily involved in the construction of the restaurant, working closely alongside The Leinster’s culinary team led by Head Chef Ross Bryans.

Combining Irish classics with fresh French and Southeast Asian flavours, all dishes for Jean-Georges at The Leinster incorporate locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Dinner menu highlights include egg toast with caviar and herbs; grilled lamb chops with a smoked chilli glaze and roasted asparagus; wild turbot crusted with nuts and seeds; and warm chocolate cake paired with Tahitian vanilla ice-cream. Dedicated to creating an exceptional yet conscious dining experience, Vongerichten is passionate about working with local Irish suppliers.

Pairing exquisite food with award-winning wines, Jean-Georges at The Leinster has an extensive selection of wines and cocktails curated by the hotel’s Sommelier and Head Bartender Milan Ormanovic, who recommends the Wild Strawberry as a playful take on the timeless gimlet, the Ginger Margarita, a Jean-George twist on the spicy margarita and The Passion Fruit, the perfect alcohol-free cocktail.
