Rosewood London opens alpine-inspired terrace experience, The Chalet

Rosewood London has unveiled The Chalet, an alpine-inspired terrace experience designed for the winter season.

Running until February 2026, the activation brings together Rosewood London, Amsterdam-based ski brand Goldbergh and The Singleton Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The space draws on traditional alpine design, with wooden elements and a warm, neutral colour palette offset by subtle gold accents associated with Goldbergh. Custom cushions reflect the brand’s aesthetic, while members of Rosewood London’s terrace team wear pieces from the Goldbergh Gold Exclusive collection.

The Singleton shapes the whisky offering at The Chalet. Signature serves include I Shine Not Burn, combining Singleton 18-year with oloroso, madeira, marsala, port, vermouth and smoked moss. Jock’s Well Hot Toddy blends Singleton 12-year with beurre noisette, chamomile and heather honey, while The Siren’s Song pairs the same whisky with chestnut, citrus, maple, bitters, pine and fudge. An exclusive serve featuring Singleton 21-year is also available, offering access to a rarer expression.

The food menu reflects the hearty, communal nature of alpine dining. Dishes include French onion soup topped with toasted baguette and melted Gruyère, and baked Camembert with confit garlic, walnut, honey and thyme. Wine-braised short ribs are served with caramelised celeriac purée and smoked beetroot relish, while tartiflette (a gratin of Charlotte potatoes, Reblochon cheese and smoked bacon) nods to Savoyard tradition. Desserts conclude with a chestnut Mont Blanc.

The Chalet opens alongside the launch of Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin. While the London terrace offers a city-based interpretation of alpine hospitality, Goldbergh provides a link between the two properties, with the brand also stocked in the Courchevel ski boutique.
