Accor has announced the expansion of the international SLS brand to the Middle East with the opening of SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences.

Located in the Downtown district, the 75-storey tower makes SLS Dubai one of the tallest hotels in the region and offers 360-degree views over the city.

SLS Dubai has been designed in its entirety by Bishop Design and features 254 hotel rooms, 371 residential units, 321 hotel apartments. Bishop and his team were also given the task of designing all the F&B venues and public spaces across the hotel.

Architectural firm Aedas were also brought onboard and Dakota Development, a subsidiary of sbe, provided technical service support for the development process including partnering with Bishop Design on SLS’s public spaces and F&B venues.

Dining options at SLS Dubai include Fi’lia, an entirely female-run restaurant; Carna, a modern steakhouse concept overseen by award-winning Italian butcher Dario Cecchini; the marble S Bar, where menus are divided between healthy options and more indulgent choices; Privilege, a nightlife venue; EllaMia, a ground-level coffee concept; and 12 Chairs, a dedicated caviar bar.

“We are excited to deliver culinary concepts like Fi’lia, our Italian concept, which will at this specific location focus on empowering the incredible leadership team of women, from our chefs to mixologists to managers,” comments Chadi Farhat, Chief Operating Officer at sbe. “We truly believe that the property will be a highly sought-after destination for global travelers and locals alike.”

The hotel also includes two infinity pools on the rooftop, a sky lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows and a Ciel spa.
