The Beaumont Mayfair and Lisa Goodwin-Allen prepare to open Rosi
The Beaumont Mayfair is set to open Rosi, a venue led by chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who has been newly appointed as Culinary Director.
Continuing in the contemporary new direction The Beaumont has taken since CEO Stuart Procter joined the Mayfair hotel, Rosi will offer an interpretation of modern British dining, rooted in seasonality and British provenance, and brought to life through Goodwin-Allen ‘s signature culinary style.
Part of a very select group of female Michelin-starred chefs, Goodwin-Allen helped hold a Michelin star at Northcote for over two decades. She is also the driving force behind Obsession, one of the UK’s most prestigious gastronomic festivals.
Goodwin-Allen will work alongside Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes, and recently appointed Executive Head Chef Jozef Rogulski, who led the kitchen of The Game Bird at The Stafford London for eight years.
To start, guests can enjoy nostalgic snacks such as chipolata sausages and crisp crudités, King’s Beluga caviar or rock oysters. Starters continue the retro theme with dishes like dry aged beef tartare, seafood cocktail and gin-cured melon.
For the main event, twists on hearty favourites include corn-fed chicken diane, hash brown, John Dory fish fingers and chicken Kyiv. Seasonal signature pies are joined by steaks in standout cuts like English Wagyu, Lake District beef and heritage Hereford herds, all chosen for their flavour and provenance.
Desserts will bring a touch of theatre, from flamed seasonal sponge with custard to build your own Rosi sundae, and The Mayfair Millionaire Tart.
Rosi’s design will move away from the somewhat masculine feel of The Colony Grill, the previous restaurant at The Beaumont Mayfair, towards a bright interior using a vibrant colour palette and tactile materials.
“Rosi represents everything we love about British dining; seasonal ingredients, timeless dishes and genuine warmth,” says Procter. “With Lisa at the helm and Brendan and Jozef by her side, we’re bringing a new energy to The Beaumont and reimagining what dining in Mayfair can feel like.”
“I can’t wait to open the doors to Rosi, it’s been a joy working with Stuart, Brendan and Jozef to help create my London home,” adds Goodin-Allen. “Rosi is a restaurant where the menu is full of dishes you really want to eat, and the atmosphere is just as inviting. I hope Rosi will be embraced by Londoners, just as I have been.”
