The Churchill Bar & Terrace is adding a dash of New York and a spritz of Barcelona to the London cocktail scene. The historic venue has announced that it will host bartending sessions with two of the world’s most famous drinking spots – New York city’s Dante and Barcelona’s Paradiso – this December.

The collaboration is taking place in association with The World’s 50 Best Bars, whose annual awards ceremony will take place on December 7 in London. The partnership will see both Dante and Paradiso create their own exclusive cocktails at The Churchill, which is situated within the luxury hotel Hyatt Regency London.

First up is Dante, the Greenwich Village venue that was formerly voted into first place in the World’s 50 Best Bars rankings. The heritage bar, which opened its doors in 1915, is a registered New York City landmark. On 5 December, Beverage Director Chris Moore will head to London, where he previously worked at the Savoy Hotel’s Beaufort Bar and opened the city’s acclaimed bar Coupette, to concoct a series of unique cocktails at The Churchill.

The Churchill Bar & Terrace

Barcelona’s Paradiso Bar, which is currently ranked as Number 19 in The World’s 50 Best Bars, will serve up its own exclusive menu at The Churchill Bar & Terrace on 8 December. The speakeasy-inspired venue, known for its pastrami bar refrigerator entrance, has been a hit ever since it was established in 2015 by Giacomo Giannotti. Paradiso and Giacomo will be serving up five different cocktails in London, all from the new menu inspired by the universe and natural phenomena. The Paradiso signature cocktail The Cloud – which includes mezcal, Mancino Vermouth, amaro, Spanish smoked chillies, and an edible cloud flavoured with coffee – will also feature.

Inspired by Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine, The Churchill Bar & Terrace is known for its craft cocktails – many made with its very own Churchill Craft Gin – and luxurious décor, which includes original photographs, artworks and love letters by Churchill.
