The Derby London City opens all-day dining restaurant, Rycrofte’s
The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton, is set to launch a signature all-day dining restaurant, Rycrofte’s.
Inspired by Sir John Rycrofte, Sergeant of the Larder to Henry VII and Henry VIII, the menus balance tradition and creativity with fresh, local ingredients. Dishes include spicy buttermilk chicken, beetroot-cured salmon, ale-battered fish and chips, slow-braised short rib and seasonal vegetable pie. Desserts comprise honey apple tart, chocolate brownie, Eton Mess and a curated selection of British cheese.
“Rycrofte’s embodies the spirit of The Derby London City, where guests can discover modern British dining in one of the city’s most historic settings,” says General Manager William Hunter. “With our connection to St Dunstan-in-the-East and the rich stories woven through the hotel, Rycrofte’s is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience rooted in the character of this remarkable neighbourhood. We’re thrilled to open our doors and share it with our guests.”
Guests can also enjoy The Golden Hour, a nightly ritual inspired by the hotel’s 5–10 Great Tower Street address, when the bar showcases its cocktail of the day. The bar itself, with its horseshoe shape and stained-glass window, echoes the architecture of the neighbouring church, strengthening the connection between place and design.

Rycrofte’s has also partnered with Newby Teas to introduce The Guild Tea Ritual, an afternoon tea served on a bespoke stained-glass-inspired stand overlooking St Dunstan-in-the-East church garden. Dedicated tea sommeliers guide guests through a curated selection of teas for an elevated experience.
