The Lanesborough in London unveils covered terrace, The Garden Room
Tucked away from the energy of Hyde Park Corner and surrounded by lush greenery, The Lanesborough has unveiled a covered terrace, The Garden Room.
The space is under the stewardship of Angel Niakas, whose 16 years of international luxury hospitality experience include roles as Deputy Bar Manager at The Lanesborough’s Library Bar, and Head of Cigars Yeni Momblan, one of the few female cigar sommeliers working in London.
Guided by Executive Chef Shay Cooper, The Garden Room serves a selection of light, seasonal dishes. Highlights from the opening menu include seabass ceviche with yuzu, ginger and miso aioli; a native lobster roll with kimchi and fennel in golden brioche; and a grilled peppered steak sandwich with caramelised onion. A late-night menu features classics such as Caesar salad, French fries and The Lanesborough’s signature club sandwich.
The drinks programme ranges from signature cocktails, including The Dalmore Sour and Port Wood Manhattan, to an extensive Champagne selection from Laurent-Perrier and a carefully curated wine list. Guests can also enjoy a collection of rare Cuban cigars and one of London’s finest assemblies of aged Cognacs and Armagnacs, with select expressions dating back to the 18th century.
