The London Edition reveals festive collaboration with Skye McAlpine

The London Edition has teamed up with cookery writer Skye McAlpine in celebration of its annual Christmas tree collaboration. Renowned for timeless table settings and nostalgic approach to food, McAlpine has brought fairytale charm to the heart of Fitzrovia with her edible take on the installation.

Drawing inspiration from her newly published cookbook, The Christmas Companion, alongside classic stories like Hansel and Gretel, McApline’s snow-dusted tree is adorned with edible, handmade decorations created using gingerbread, sweets and chocolate.

“It’s been a huge privilege and immense fun to work with the London Edition Hotel on creating my own 20ft Christmas tree of dreams,” McAlpine says. “I’ve loved this opportunity to let my imagination run wild while playing with the scale and the contrast of the hotel’s wonderfully elegant lobby, and the childish, nostalgic wonder that, for me, a real Christmas tree always evokes.”

To celebrate the collaboration, The London Edition is offering two specials to guests, both recipe’s taken from McAlpine’s cookbook. Chocolate and chestnut yule log, and chestnut martini are available will be served at Berners Tavern until 31 December.
