The Peninsula London presents its 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival

The Peninsula London presents its 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, featuring the hotel’s signature handcrafted mooncakes and exclusive dining experiences.

Honouring one of the most treasured festivals in the Lunar calendar, this year’s programme blends time-honoured traditions with contemporary culinary artistry.

A cherished tradition for the hotel group, mooncakes hold deep roots in Asian culture. This year’s collection, available at The Peninsula Boutique & Café, includes the hotel’s signature Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes, known for their buttery golden crust and velvety custard centre, first perfected at The Peninsula Hong Kong in 1986.

The Peninsula Constellation Mooncakes feature traditional lotus seed paste alongside tea-infused varieties made with the hotel’s signature tea leaves, such as jasmine and earl grey. The range also offers Mini Chocolate Egg Custard Mooncakes with a velvety toffee filling, decadent Mini Mulberry Egg Custard Mooncakes, and new limited-edition Luna Cakes in Chocolate and Mango.

As part of the celebration, The Peninsula London is partnering with Mayfair’s Burlington Arcade for a limited-time pop-up. The historic arcade will host a vintage-inspired cart painted in the hotel’s signature Peninsula Green, offering limited-edition mooncakes in a rich red box adorned with Burlington Arcade’s gold rosette.

During the festival, Canton Blue, The Peninsula London’s Cantonese restaurant, will offer a six-course tasting menu. Highlights include steamed lobster and green vegetable dumplings, barbecued pork, sautéed Atlantic king prawns with salted egg yolk, steamed seabass fillet, braised lion’s meat ball with winter melon and imperial crab golden pearl.

The experience concludes with traditional red bean rice balls served in a sweet rice wine syrup.
