The newly-opened Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien in Thailand has revealed its clutch of F&B venues, including The Standard’s first ever beach club, Esmé; seafood restaurant, Sereia; and cocktail bar, Mmhmmm.
Esmé is the hotel’s lively centrepiece, providing guests with front row seats to Pattaya’s golden hour. Serving sharing plates of fresh ceviches and aguachiles by day, and smoky tacos and slow-braised meats by night, the restaurant’s concept is rooted in coastal Mexican flavours and Chonburi-sourced seafood and headed up by Chef Gaby Espinosa and Chef Diego Novella, the Mexico City duo behind Delia Bangkok (recognised by the Michelin Guide Thailand). Food is paired with beach cocktails fitting of the setting, like micheladas and frozen mezcalitas.
Meanwhile, the Sereia menu celebrates local heritage via a fire-driven kitchen, where ingredients including tiger prawns, snapper, crab and mussels are grilled simply to let bold flavours shine alongside house-made sauces. Plates are served with crisp, refreshing wines and tropical cocktails.
Finally, Mmhmmm is a space for music, conversation and cocktails that comes alive at night. Burgers, BLTs and other poolside classics are the backbone of the menu, as well as local comfort dishes like house-made Isaan sausage and Kao Pad Man Goong, each served with The Standard twist.
