The Webster Covent Garden to open Italian dining destination

Italian all-day dining destination Carmelina’s is set to open at The Webster Covent Garden.

Founded by hospitality trio Daniele Pampagnin, Jake Mason and Carmela Pia, whose combined experience spans the kitchen, operations and creative direction, Carmelina’s takes its cues from the Italian approach to dining and socialising, with spaces designed to carry guests from morning coffee through to late-night drinks.

The 100-cover restaurant, designed by architects Red Deer, features an open kitchen, counter dining and dedicated wine bar. A nostalgic black-and-white tiled floor, warm natural materials and vintage artwork give the space the feel of a traditional Italian restaurant, while bespoke waiter stations take their cues from the kitchens of Italy. Burl timber wall panels and a mix of feature pendants, wall lights and desk lamps add to the warm, intimate atmosphere.

Pampagnin leads the culinary offering, having previously worked with hospitality brands including Nobu and Soho House, while Head Chef Simone Serafini oversees the kitchen on site. The menu focuses on fresh handmade pasta, seasonal produce and seafood, alongside classic cocktails and a curated wine list. Signature dishes include deep red Sicilian prawns and porchetta with friarielli, while breakfast runs daily with dishes including eggs royale, focaccia scrambled eggs and diavola shakshuka.

Upstairs, Carmelina’s Al Banco offers a relaxed all-day café-bar inspired by the neighbourhood bars of Milan. It extends onto a contemporary plant-filled covered terrace with striped racing-green and blush-pink umbrellas, deep banquette seating and woven furnishings, allowing the space to be enjoyed year-round.

Completing the lineup is Carla’s, a late-night cocktail bar led by Bar Manager Peppe Corallo. Tucked away downstairs and designed as an intimate after-dark retreat, the bar serves an innovative cocktail menu alongside a curated drinks offering, complemented by a programme of live entertainmentxa
