Treville Positano and La Sultana Marrakech announce culinary exchange
Treville Positano and La Sultana Marrakech have announced a new culinary partnership, bridging the Amalfi Coast and Marrakech through the shared heritage of Don Alfonso’s kitchens. The pairing brings together the Italian inspired culinary delights of Treville Positano’s restaurant, Maestro’s, and the vibrant Moroccan cuisine of La Table de La Sultana and La Table du Souk, by introducing two carefully curated dishes to each menu.
The partnership was born from a shared sensibility: a deep respect for seasonality, exceptional ingredients, and a cuisine connected to its terroir. This month, La Sultana Marrakech introduced two Treville Positano inspired dishes to its menus: Confit lamb cappelletti, parmesan sauce, and truffle shavings at La Table de La Sultana; and Linguine alla Nerano, courgettes croustillantes & Grana Padano at La Table du Souk, giving guests a taste of the Amalfi Coast from Marrakech. Maestro’s will also introduce a Moroccan inspired La Sultana dish to its menu: Chickpea, hummus with cooked and raw seasonal vegetables, dressed with a sumac citronette, creating a cultural immersion into the wonders of local Marrakech cuisine.
The introduction of the dishes to each menu is the beginning of a broader collaboration. The partnership already extends beyond the menu, with each property displaying the other’s books as part of the guest experience, reinforcing the cultural exchange between the two destinations. The properties are set to embark on a meaningful partnership, which promises to strengthen the connection between the two destinations through a shared sense of creativity and luxury hospitality.
At the heart of the collaboration are the chefs behind each kitchen. Executive Chef Fouad Messaoudi of La Sultana Marrakech, whose journey has taken him through renowned houses, notably worked alongside celebrated Italian chef Don Alfonso, a path shared with Head Chef Vincenzo Castaldo of Villa Treville Positano. During their meeting at La Sultana Marrakech in late 2025, the chefs discovered that they had crossed paths and worked together years before, a connection that seamlessly unfolded into the current collaboration, shaping an instinctive and intuitive creative exchange.
“The culinary partnership between Treville Positano and La Sultana is more than just a cultural immersion into the others’ local cuisines,” says Vincenzo Castaldo, Maestro’s Head Chef. “It is a celebration of life, hospitality and the timeless joy of bringing people together through authentic flavours, shared traditions, and the artistry of the table.”
Fouad Messaoudi, Executive Chef at La Sultana Marrakech, comments “Realising our paths had already intertwined made everything that followed feel incredibly natural,” adds Fouad Messaoudi, Executive Chef at La Sultana Marrakech. “This collaboration is an organic expression of that connection – two houses, grounded in a shared philosophy.”
