Spotlight: Domaine Alône
Nestled in the Sainte-Baume Natural Park in Provence, Domaine Alône is a boutique winery founded by Pascale Jourdan and Christian Ott. Rooted in a rare sandy terroir at altitude, the estate produces limited quantities of wines crafted with a biodynamic philosophy and minimal intervention.
With a strong focus on authenticity, precision and respect for nature, Domaine Alône expresses a singular vision of Provençal winemaking, one that is refined, distinctive and deeply connected to its environment.
The winery’s full collection reflects this uncompromising pursuit of terroir expression. Located on an exceptional sandy soil – rare in Provence – the vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate at 400 meters altitude, where cool nights and warm days allow for slow, balanced ripening. This results in wines of finesse, freshness and aromatic clarity.

Crafted from carefully selected grape varieties adapted to this singular environment, each cuvée is produced using hand-harvested fruit, indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention in the cellar. Aging is thoughtfully tailored, combining stainless steel, Austrian oak barrels, porcelain amphorae and innovative sand eggs to enhance purity and texture.
The rosés, aged for up to one year, stand apart from conventional Provençal styles with their depth, salinity and gastronomic profile. The reds, often aged for several years and sometimes vinified with whole clusters, reveal layered aromatics, structure and elegance.
With an annual production of approximately 30,000 bottles, Domaine Alône prioritises quality over quantity. Each wine is a precise, expressive interpretation of its terroir and an invitation to rediscover Provence through a more nuanced and artisanal lens.
