Templeton Gardens hosts Sprout Sessions with guest bartenders

Sprout at Templeton Gardens by Miiro Hotels in London has announced the first guest bars set to take part in its inaugural Sprout Sessions, a new collaborative event series supported by Pernod Ricard and Fever-Tree.

Led by Dominic Royle, the seasonally driven bar has created Sprout Sessions as a celebration of creativity, collaboration and a little bit of chaos. Each event will see guest bartenders team up with Royle for a high-stakes ingredient challenge, racing against the clock to transform unexpected supermarket finds into original cocktails served at Sprout.

The first edition will take place in July, welcoming Drew Fleming and Jeffrey Alab from Kiki Lounge on the Isle of Mann. The bartenders will have just 15 minutes and a £50 budget to scour a local supermarket, selecting whatever ingredients catch their eye, from tinned peaches and pickled onions to gravy granules and other unconventional choices. Back at Sprout, the team will create a one-night-only cocktail menu using their supermarket haul, with guests able to sample the drinks that same evening. One standout cocktail will then earn a place on Sprout’s menu for the remainder of July.

The series will continue in August with a takeover from A for Athens, one of the Greek capital’s best-known rooftop bars. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.

The launch follows the recent unveiling of Sprout’s latest cocktail menu, which draws inspiration from nostalgic flavours, seasonal produce and playful culinary techniques. Going forward, a signature cocktail from each Sprout Sessions event will feature alongside the venue’s monthly menu offerings.

“Everything we do at Sprout is rooted in creativity and skill, and Sprout Sessions is a great way to exercise that with our friends in the industry,” says Royle. “Expect a lot of delicious drinks, plenty of collaboration and a touch of chaos along the way as we source our ingredients against the clock.”
