Fauna at Kimpton Vividora Barcelona presents menu by Marcel López
Fauna, the Mediterranean restaurant at Kimpton Vividora Barcelona, has launched its first menu created exclusively by Executive Chef Marcel López.
The hotel restaurant is imagined as the home of a dear friend. The new menu builds on this philosophy, placing sharing, provenance and the pleasure of gathering around the table at its centre.

The offering is designed to be enjoyed communally, with dishes placed at the centre of the table and passed from hand to hand. Familiar Catalan and Mediterranean flavours are reinterpreted through López’s style, with highlights including Catalan-style free-range chicken with poultry reduction, orange and caramelised pine nuts; grilled Iberian pork pluma with charred green pepper and Iberian ham; and red mullet from the Catalan coast with red prawn suquet and tartare.
There’s also patatas bravas with sweet potato aioli and black garlic cream, Cantabrian anchovies with toasted brioche and smoked butter, and cod tempura with honey aioli. For something more substantial, beef capipota is paired with Maresme peas and local squid, while a baked rice with red prawn carpaccio and crispy prawn legs is designed to be shared.
Elsewhere, López’s approach to premium Spanish produce is showcased through VIVI’s Grand Sharing Board, bringing together cheeses from the pantry, premium León cecina, acorn-fed Iberian ham, foie micuit, Mató cheese, grilled Iberian pork pluma coca, breads and preserves. The restaurant’s cheese selection also highlights small-scale producers from across Spain, including cheeses from Girona, Osona, Ávila, Castellón and Asturias.
The six-course Tradition Menu focuses on the flavours that best represent Fauna, while the eight-course Fauna Menu offers the restaurant’s most complete experience, with a wine pairing selected by the sommelier for each course.
