French brand Perrier has announced a new, vibrant collection of glass bottled with renowned artist Takashi Murakami, inspired by the pop and colourful universe of the artist and the creative and pioneering spirit of the company, which is best known as the producer of carbonated mineral water.
The Limited Edition screen-printed glass bottled featuring the work of the artist will be launched worldwide from early October and will be followed by an update to its original range in the colours and motifs of Murakami.
Murakami’s signature smiling flowers will bring an extra pop of colour and joy to the iconic green Perrier bottles, in screen-printed glass formats of 33cl and 75cl. The smaller bottle will also feature the artists best-known characters, Kaikai and Kiki, whilst the brand’s can and plastic bottles featuring the designs will be launched in early 2021.
Considered to be one of the most impactful Japanese artists of our time, Murakami is the latest artist to collaborate with the brand who are known for their long-standing creative relationships with leading artists. For over 150-years the brand has collaborated with some of the world’s most distinguished creatives including Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol and Raymond Savignac, all of whom have created pioneering posters and artwork for the business.
