Brach Paris launches Greek-inspired terrace

Brach Paris has launched a Greek-inspired culinary experience in collaboration with Kalios olive oil, La Terrasse du 1er.

For the first floor venue, chef Adam Bentalha has created a modern, vibrant interpretation of Greek terroir.

The journey begins with warm pita bread dipped into Kalios olive oil and Kalios mezze. Smoked aubergine, creamy tzatziki, hummus, peppers and artichokes, enhanced with Kalamata olive tapenade and dried figs, are shared as a trio.

A reimagined dakos combines sun-dried tomatoes, matured beef carpaccio, feta dice and a drizzle of olive oil. Mini pitas filled with smoked trout, oregano-seared octopus and a vibrant Greek salad extend the choice. Smoked eel with lemon cream and sea bass ceviche with leche de tigre and olive oil round out the savoury offering.

Desserts include ice cream with olive oil, chocolate mousse with smoked salt and olive oil and lemon tart infused with basil oil, crafted by Pastry Chef Fabien Emery. The crème brûlée pairs pistachio sweetness with the floral tension of orange blossom, while an aromatic Portokalopita is balanced with the freshness of Greek yoghurt.

“The Mediterranean is part of my DNA,” says Bentalha. “What moves me is the ability to elevate simple ingredients: outstanding olive oil, a few fresh herbs, a cheese with character, grilled fish. It is a sun-filled, instinctive cuisine, grounded above all in the quality of its produce.”

Created by Jérémy Bacquet, the cocktails at La Terrasse du 1er draw inspiration from the scents and colours of the Mediterranean. Fresh herbs and Kalios olive oils shape a menu of bright, refreshing creations.

A rare selection of Greek wines accompanies, from Attica to the Peloponnese. Moschofilero by Tselepos and Assyrtiko from Santorini and Macedonia feature alongside reds Xinomavro and Syrah from Hatzimichalis, which reveal structure and depth. There is also a Cabernet Sauvignon and Agiorgitiko blend from Drama.

Interiors draw from the Cyclades’ iconic blues and whites. Think azure-toned cushions, woven jute rugs and billowing sheets that evoke the villages and coastlines of the Aegean. A Greek ritual punctuates the experience as each guest is given a ribbon to tie around their wrist or to the branches of a centuries-old olive tree at the entrance to the terrace to make a wish.
