The 80-key property will feature a spa, a rooftop outdoor pool and bar, a Fauchon boutique and The Grand Café Fauchon.

“We are proud to partner with DGDA and Yakoon Hospitality,” said Jacques-Olivier Chauvin, President and CEO of Fauchon Hospitality, in a statement. “This new development is yet another step to becoming a major player in the boutique luxury hospitality industry. Signing our first hotel in the Middle East and becoming a part of this monumental development is a truly exciting achievement as a strategic part of our ongoing growth.”

Founded in 1886, Fauchon is known for its signature haute patisserie products, as well as macarons, chocolate, tea and fine foods. The company also operates a professional culinary training school that has seen some of the biggest names in

patisserie pass through its doors.

Fauchon Hospitality debuted its first property in Paris in September 2018, followed by a second in Kyoto in March 2021, with new openings expected to be announced in the US, China and Japan in 2022.

“The breaking of bread has been an ancient tradition across the regions for centuries and the Fauchon offering at The Grand Café will complement our elevated dining experiences at Buijari Terrace,” commented Jerry Inzerello, Group CEO, DGDA.

Olivier Harnisch, CEO, Yakoon Hospitality, added: “We are delighted to partner with Fauchon and DGDA to bring the third Fauchon Hotel worldwide to Saudi Arabia. As the management company of the hotel, Yakoon Hospitality will create a unique destination, inspired by the legendary legacy of Fauchon.”
