Maison Honnel Paris debuts with destination dining room

Maison Honnel Paris has opened in the 8th Arrondissement, with a destination dining room forming part of the new hotel.

Spread across several floors, the property has been designed as a contemporary take on a Parisian home, with natural materials, bespoke joinery and individually selected furniture and textiles used throughout.

On the ground floor, Carlo Trattoria and Pizzeria takes its name from Carlo Honnel, the tailor whose Italian roots inspired the concept. The restaurant opens onto Rue de Surène and operates as a weekday lunch destination for both hotel guests and local diners. In the evening, it hosts an Aperitivo service and moves to a more intimate atmosphere.

The dinner menu focuses on Italian staples including fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, fish and meat, alongside a thoughtful wine list. The main dining room is complemented by a second room with a separate entrance and reception. Its interiors feature green marble, burgundy and white striped awnings, red gingham-rimmed plates, embroidered napkins and letterpress coasters.

The hotel bar also hosts an Aperitivo from Monday to Friday evenings, with cocktails and a selection of accompanying dishes. Maison Honnel’s Wine Room, meanwhile, provides a more private setting, with a table for up to six guests. The room is intended for business lunches and dinners, as well as smaller private gatherings.
