Soneva announces culinary partnerships for the festive season

Eco-resort brand Soneva has announced that it will partner with a number of chefs throughout the festive season. 

Celebrated chefs including Ricky SawardTimothy Bilton, Maria José San Román and Tim Raue are set to land at Soneva’s resorts, bringing various culinary offerings.  

Ricky Saward will be the first of three to bring his expertise to Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani, crafting a new menu for the resorts. Part of the brand’s Soneva Stars programme, the chef’s stint will run from 15 – 26 December. 

Saward is the head chef and co-owner at Frankfurt’s Seven Swans restaurant, which was named the world’s first Michelin-starred vegan restaurant in 2020. 

In mid-2019, the chef switched his focus to plant-based cuisine utilising only home-grown or regionally sourced ingredients. The same year, his sustainable philosophy was awarded the world’s first Michelin Guide Sustainability Award. In 2020, he was again awarded one Michelin star, in addition to a green star, and became the world’s first Michelin-starred vegan chef. Today, he remains Germany’s only Michelin-starred chef producing purely plant-based cuisine.
