Five-star retreat The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire has launched a winter pop-up restaurant, Jimmy’s Lodge, in collaboration with chef Jimmy Garcia.
Taking over The Stables restaurant, the mountain-inspired concept will serve a variety of warming winter dishes alongside craft beers, spirits and wines.
Complete with rustic wooden beams, cosy corners and an alpine aesthetic, Jimmy’s Lodge aims to transport guests to snow-dusted mountains, serving dishes such as cheese fondue with sourdough and pickles for dipping, maple glazed pumpkin and sharing steaks with truffle fries.
The new dining concept also offers guests the opportunity to visit The Grove’s newly renovated Lounges or The Glasshouse Bar, where they can sample garden-to-glass cocktails.
Garcia is renowned for his innovative pop-up restaurant concepts; namely Jimmy’s Lodge on London’s Southbank, which featured snow globe dining and a hot cocktail bar.
Cementing the hotel’s status as the ultimate winter staycation, the restaurant joins The Grove’s permanent year-round food and beverage offerings.
The seasonal pop-up restaurant will run until mid-January 2021.
