A new restaurant and entertainment concept has hit the slopes in Aspen this season. The Snow Lodge Supper Club, which recently opened its doors within the luxurious St. Regis Aspen Resort, is offering guests an elevated supper club and lounge experience, with a dash of arts and culture.

The Snow Lodge is the brainchild of Jayma Cardoso, Founder and Creative Director of sister property The Surf Lodge, and Stephane De Baets of Elevated Returns (Chef’s Club). The venue will host an artist-in-residence programme that kicks off with the artist and musician Brandon Boyd and photographer Brian Bowen Smith.

The interior, curated by Kimberly Bevan of Bevan Interiors, focuses on jewel-tones and plush velvets in dusty pinks and greens. Furniture sourced from the female-owned TOV Furniture has been mixed with vintage pieces to bring a playful feeling to the space, which is dotted with scalloped-edge chairs and tufted sofas. The central fireplace is flanked with artwork by Richard Phillips of Gagosian, while other artworks are sourced from local galleries or represent the creative residencies at any given point.

Chef Mark Connell has overseen the menu, which is Italian-influenced and encompasses sharing dishes and large plates. Highlights include the pastas, which are made in-house and include the chef’s signature ‘seamless’ ravioli with butternut squash, mascarpone and thyme. Additional signatures include pan-roasted branzino with pepita basil pesto and crab, and creative desserts like chocolate globe and meyer lemon chiboust. Robert Sieber will oversee the kitchen as Culinary Director.

Cocktails come courtesy of the award-winning team behind Dante, the New York watering hole that was crowned the ‘World’s Best Bar’ in 2019. The Snow Lodge’s cocktail lounge will host a curated music series of DJ sets and unplugged acoustic concerts, with singer-songwriter Léon and Jake Wesley Rogers all on the bill.

“We’re so excited to be back in Aspen,” said Cardoso. “After spending last winter locked down, we wanted to bring people back together in an intimate setting and create unforgettable experiences. We think The Snow Lodge will be the perfect place to do just that.”
