Shangri-La Paris unveils new restaurant inspired by La Belle Époque
Shangri-La Paris has unveiled a new restaurant, housed within its historic salons and inspired by the timeless elegance of La Belle Époque. Named Les Salons du Prince, the new destination pays tribute Prince Roland Bonaparte who once resided at the hotel.
Characterised by wood panelling and detailed 19th-centrury tapestries and paintings, the design evokes the aristocratic spirit of the period. Elsewhere, comfortable armchairs and tables dressed in white linens, embroidered napkins and floral tableware create a welcoming atmosphere.
In the morning, the salons come to life, inviting guests to savour a breakfast celebrating the Parisian art de vivre with a refined selection of viennoiseries. Later, at lunch and dinner, the cuisine draws inspiration from the golden age of French gastronomy reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, with a menu showcasing the caviars of La Maison Nordique, through the Baeri, Osciètre Impérial and Beluga varieties, served with blinis.
Exceptional ingredients are paired with revisited classics, such as gambero rosso carpaccio with stracciatella or linguine with caviar. The experience is further elevated by a Champagne selection exclusively signed by Pol Roger, alongside a cocktail menu in harmony with the spirit of the venue.
In the afternoon, the sweet interlude becomes an elegant moment accompanied by a selection of teas from the exclusive Shangri-La range and pastry creations by Chef Timothy Lam, including his signature Papua vanilla flan.
