Casa Fantini in Northern Italy has announced a new food concept and special guest experiences for 2021.

Located on the shores of Lake Orta, Casa Fantini is a five-star concept hotel designed by renowned Italian architect Piero Lissoni.

Eating at Casa Fantini is centred around the idea of the home – or Casa – and offers a personalised approach to dining with meals based around sharing and conviviality.

Food at Casa Fantini is central to the hotel’s Lake Time concept, which states that a stay at Casa Fantini is about slowing down, taking in the surroundings and becoming at one with the environment.

Guests can choose from the seasonal Spring selection or go off menu, requesting simple but delicious plates of food such as pasta al sugo prepared by chef Paolo Bullone.

All the dishes are made using the quality seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible from small artisan producers.

Signature plates include the risotto, made from Vercelli rice, an organic rice that is unique to the region. Other dishes include spaghettoni, with goat butter, white asparagus and caviar; tortellini with Breme onion, parmesan and black truffle; and the Catch of the Day.

Completing the food offering, wines at the hotel are also of the highest quality  – the Piedmont region is known for its wines, such as Gattinara and Barolo, and international wines are also on offer.

Guests at Casa Fantini can also sign up for a variety of tailored experiences, taking them on a voyage of discovery around the lake and surrounding countryside.

One of the new experiences is the lake tour and picnic, where guests are taken aboard a private boat to explore the secret corners of the lake. A picnic on the lake with a delicious meal is prepared by the chef before stopping for an aperitif on San Giulio Island and a historical tour of the island.

The E Biking experience meanwhile, allows guests to choose from one of three routes around the hotel and lake and is catered for once again by the chef and his team.
