The Vineyard Hotel at Stockcross in Berkshire has announced its latest al fresco dining offering; OutSide – A New Vintage.

Launching on 12 April, the updated outdoor venue, which was operational in summer and autumn last year, returns with a new decor and seasonally minded menu.

Executive Chef Tom Scade’s menu features dishes such as lobster with chilli and garlic butter; spring lamb with mint and cucumber; and wing rib of beef with chimichurri.

Also back with a strong wine focus, thanks in part to Head Sommelier, Romain Bourger, who currently holds the title of Sommelier of the Year, the drinks programme includes lagers, pale ales and the Vineyard spring cocktail.

Meanwhile, on the dessert menu, plates such as lemon posset with shortbread and rhubarb and almond tart with vanilla mascarpone further reflect the seasonal nature of the concept.

“At last we are delighted to be welcoming real people back in again. We plan to start off where we had to abruptly end before Christmas and have a great new concept and seasonal offering to share,” comments Andrew McKenzie, Managing Director. “Hopefully this message may also stop my phone ringing off the hook with everyone wanting to book.  We are really excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to see you all soon.”

The Vineyard is a 5 red star hotel and spa, renowned for its high levels of service, 3 AA Rosette restaurant and award-winning 30,000 bottle wine cellar. The property is a member of Relais & Châteaux and Pride of Britain, and it is privately owned by Sir Peter Michael and family.

OutSide will be open 12 noon to 8pm daily, from 12 April.
